As the former principal of the International School of Kabul, I have had the privilege of leading a prestigious educational institution in a challenging environment. Today, I want to share with you the lessons I have learned throughout my tenure and how they have shaped me as an educational leader.

Lesson 1: Adaptability is Key

One of the most crucial lessons I've learned is the importance of adaptability. When leading a school in a constantly changing environment like Kabul, being able to adapt quickly to new circumstances is crucial. Though her time in Afghanistan proved difficult, Gail chose to stay, hoping to improve the lives of young people caught up in a treacherous world.
